  My name is James Shavers and I am the owner and craftsman of

James Shavers Woodworking, located in the small 2 horse town of Forney, TX. My Love for wood and the appreciation for how it has affected all of our lives can be traced back to a Sunday school class I attended as a child. The teacher informed me that Jesus was a carpenter. This information changed the way I viewed wood and my hands. I began to wonder, if I combined the two; what could I create, who could I inspire and how could I influence the world.
